Private vehicle owners had complained on social media after being fined by the BMC for not wearing masks inside their own cars. So, the civic body took cognisance and decided to not levy fines on people driving their private vehicles without masks.

However, those travelling in public transports such as, buses, taxis, rickshaws will have to wear masks or be ready to get penalised, reported Times of India.
