Frustrated locals say they were apprehensive of the shoddy repairs; there are about 500 craters in 1-km stretch between Aarey market and Royal Palms

Locals said potholes create a lot of inconvenience for motorists. They have demanded a permanent solution to this problem
A week after several roads inside Aarey Milk Colony were repaired for potholes, a few spells of heavy showers washed away all the work, leaving the locals seething in anger.
“When the work started, we knew that the material used to fill the potholes would be washed away in no time. It was nothing but an eyewash. The rainfall over just the past 48 hours has undone everything,” said local resident Shahad Yuns.
