The minimum temperature dropped to 15.2 degrees Celsius on Saturday morning. This is the lowest temperature recorded in this winter season. As per the forecast, the temperature will remain on the lower side, even today.



The city has been experiencing cooler winds this week with temperatures dropping significantly. January and February are known to be pleasant months in Mumbai. On January 14, the Santa Cruz observatory of the Indian Meteorology Department registered just above 15 degrees Celsius, while in Colaba the temperature dropped to 17.4 degrees Celsius.

As per records, in 2013, January recorded its lowest temperature of the decade at 10.4 degrees Celsius. According to a source, there is a possibility that the city may experience cooler days ahead. The current forecast of the IMD shows that the temperature may remain on the lower side on Sunday and Monday, and slightly increase thereafter.
