State sees significant dip in cases but marginal rise in fatalities at 19

While Mumbai’s new COVID cases saw a significant drop as the figure fell below 200 on Monday, the city’s test positivity rate (TPR) and deaths saw a marginal rise. As per the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) report, 184 new cases, four deaths and a TPR of 0.77 per cent were reported on Monday.
All the four deceased had comorbidities and were above 60 years of age. The doubling rate dipped further and was 2,010 days on Monday. The city’s recovery rate remained constant at 97 per cent as 225 people were discharged after full recovery.
