Mumbai’s Covid-19 cases rise above 200, fatalities fall slightly

The state registered 852 new cases and 34 deaths on Friday. Of 34, 23 deaths were reported in Mumbai Circle which includes Raigad, which  saw 12 deaths

The city saw a marginal rise in COVID-19 cases on Friday after they dropped below 200 on Thursday. There were 230 cases recorded on Friday after 34,690 tests with the test positivity rate (TPR) of 0.66 per cent. 

The city reported three deaths and all the deceased had comorbidities. One patient was between the age of 40 years and 60 years and two were aged above 60. 
The doubling rate rose to 2,682 days on Friday. The city’s recovery rate remained constant at 97 per cent as 248 people recovered and were discharged on Friday. Currently there are 16,322 positive people across the city.
