Mumbai's daily Covid-19 cases drop below 200, TPR rises to 0.52 per cent

State sees significant drop in new infections to 695, but deaths rise to 12 from 7 in 24 hours

The test positivity rate (TPR) in the city increased marginally while the daily Covid-19 cases dropped below 200 once again. According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s (BMC) report, Mumbai on Friday recorded 192 fresh Coronavirus infections and the TPR stood at 0.52 per cent, up from 0.49 per cent registered the day before. The civic body confirmed one death from the viral infection on Friday. The deceased had comorbidities and was above the age of 60, stated the BMC report.
