Mumbai’s daily Covid-19 cases drop below 10,000

The silver lining is that 84 per cent of the patients turning positive on Sunday were asymptomatic. The recovery rate in the city improved and was at 92 per cent, with 21,025 patients being discharged. The doubling rate also improved and was at 48 days

The daily COVID-19 cases dropped below 10,000, with the test positivity rate (TPR) also showing a downward trend, on Sunday. The number of deaths remained constant at 11, showed the civic body’s data.

According to the BMC report, 7,895 new cases were added to the official on Sunday along with a TPR of 13.72 per cent. In the third wave, the highest TPR recorded in Mumbai was 29.9 per cent on January 6.
