Mumbai on Friday saw a significant drop in the test positivity rate (TPR) along with a dip in fresh COVID cases as well. While on December 1, the city registered the second wave’s lowest TPR at 0.28 per cent, on Friday it was 0.51 per cent. As per the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) report, there were 186 new cases along with three deaths.
One of the deceased had comorbidities. All the three deceased were above 60 years, according to the BMC report. The doubling rate significantly dipped and was 2,991 days on Friday. The city’s recovery rate remained constant at 97 per cent, as 210 people were discharged after full recovery on Friday.
