While lakhs of people across the drought-affected regions of Maharashtra walk for miles to fetch a single bucket of water, hundreds of litres of water has been wasted ever since the pipeline at the Kalamboli junction in Navi Mumbai ruptured on April 11.

A couple of kids cool themselves by taking a dip in the temporary pond created by the ruptured pipeline
