The Navi Mumbai police commissioner, Milind Bharambhe, claimed that they had prepared a force of 3,500 to 4,000 officers for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in the district. This deployment is part of Thane Lok Sabha`s security measures, which include assembly segments such as Airoli and Belapur.

Thane and 12 other Maharashtra seats, including six in Mumbai, will be contested in the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 on May 20, reported PTI.
