Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar paid a visit to the ailing former Maharashtra minister and Member of Legislative Council (MLC), Eknath Khadse, at Bombay Hospital following Khadse's recent cardiac arrest, stated a report in ANI.

Pawar Sr taking to X wrote, "Went to Bombay Hospital in Mumbai to meet my colleague, former Minister Eknathrao Khadse and inquired about his health and wished him a speedy recovery."

According to the report, Supriya Sule had previously posted an update on the situation and confirmed that she had been in contact with Rohini Khadse, the hospitalised leader's daughter.

Sule had taken to X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, "NCP leader Eknathji Khadse has been hospitalised due to a heart attack. I have spoken to his daughter, Rohini Khadse, and inquired about Khadse Saheb's health. It is reported that Khadse Saheb is undergoing treatment, and there is optimism that he will recover soon and return home safely. I offer my prayers for his speedy recovery."

Rohini Khadse, a leader from Jalna, provided additional details in a tweet, mentioning that her father had been unwell for the past two days, which led to his admission to a hospital in Jalgaon as a precautionary measure. She assured the public that his health remained stable, and there was no reason for undue concern. Eknath Khadse was to be transferred to Mumbai later in the evening.

Eknath Khadse, a former senior leader of the Maharashtra BJP, made the decision to join the NCP in 2020. He was admitted to Bombay Hospital on the evening following his cardiac arrest.
