Friday saw countless people continuing to rush to private and government vaccination centres, hoping to get the last of the available COVID-19 vaccinations. The NESCO centre at Goregaon saw chaos for a brief while in the morning as many people turned up.
Becharbhai Dhansukhiya, a Malad resident, visited the NESCO Jumbo COVID Centre, with his wife. The couple could not get the vaccine despite being registered. Dhansukhiya said, “After seeing the news of the vaccine shortage, we registered ourselves immediately. But after reaching NESCO, we were told that vaccines are over. The issue needs to be resolved at the earliest. It is not just those above 45 years, but also many senior citizens who are waiting for the vaccines.”
