Now Borivli is my first home, and I'm here for good,” said Piyush Goyal while speaking to reporters on the sidelines of his yatra in Kandivli. Asked about how he felt about the immense love and affection he was receiving during his yatras, Goyal said, “North Mumbai is my karmabhoomi. Borivli has embraced me and my family, and we have embraced them.”

He expressed being overwhelmed by the love showered by Mumbaikars while campaigning in north Mumbai. Pointing to himself, he said, “All the love being showered on this Mumbaikar is meant for Modi-ji and is going directly to him.”

Speaking to reporters on the 60th day since the launch of his campaign after the announcement of his name as BJP’s candidate for the Mumbai North constituency, Goyal acknowledged the “great work” done by BJP MLAs Yogesh Sagar, Sunil Rane, Atul Bhatkhalkar, Manisha Choudhary, Prakash Surve of Shiv Sena MLA, and Praveen Darekar MLC in the success of the campaign.

During the course of his campaign, Goyal has engaged with different sections of the population in various Assembly segments of the constituency, such as the fishermen community, pheriwalas, students, chartered accountants, lawyers, traders, stock brokers, teachers, auto drivers, transporters, coolies, businesses of different types, residents of residential societies, slums, and villages, various associations, industry bodies, members of different communities and states, besides hundreds of thousands of karyakartas.

While speaking to the cross-section of the population in his constituency, one could sense that special plans and activities would be in the pipeline for almost all sections of society. North Mumbai seems abuzz with Goyal’s development plans for the constituency. Whether it's fishermen or pheriwalas, those living in slums, or rail commuters, those living in societies and the larger population, in general, facing traffic woes or looking for good healthcare, something good seems to be on the cards for all.

Goyal said that as a representative of the constituency and a member of the government, he would leave no stone unturned in ensuring that sincere efforts are made to resolve all development and growth issues of Mumbai North. Goyal is the BJP and Mahayuti candidate for the upcoming parliamentary elections, the voting for which is to take place on May 20 in Mumbai.
