A blood donation camp was organised by Palghar district police in Kelva police station on Republic day where record 330 donors participated.

Senior police inspector Gaikwad donating blood
Under the guidance of Palghar district SP Dattatre Shinde, additional SP Parkash Gaikwad, SDPO Vikas Naik under the Road Safety Campaign and with the coordination of Maharashtra blood bank, senior police inspector Bhimsen Gaikwad had made arrangements for the blood donation camp in the police station premises.
The purpose of the camp was to spread awareness about road safety. Over 700 people, including policemen, politicians and social workers participated in the event and 330 people donated blood, said API Bhimsen Gaikwad.
People who donated blood were felicitated by the police team and were given T-shirts, appreciation certificates and bouquets, Gaikwad added.
