Parts of Mumbai witness slight drizzle, moderate rainfall hits Maharashtra

IMD Mumbai’s Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) on Thursday had forecast light rainfall activity over parts of Maharashtra, including Mumbai, for the next four to five days.

As predicted by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), parts of Mumbai and Thane witnessed slight drizzle on Saturday evening.





Also, moderate rainfall and thunderstorms was reported in other parts of Maharashtra including Pune and Palghar.

Parts of South Mumbai, Andheri, Kurla, Bandra, Mahim, Dadar etc witnessed rainfall in the city. Meanwhile, places like Pune, Satara, Kolhapur, Ahmednagar, Sangli, Aurangabad, Parbhani, Beed, Latur, Jalna, Hingoli, Ratnagiri & Sindudurg, witnessed intense rainfall and gusty winds.

Mumbaikars took to twitter to express their shock over the unexpected rains.
