The Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) in Pune has decided to transfer the 17-year-old teen, accused of the Pune car crash in Kalyani Nagar to an observation home until June 5 after public outrage at his quick bail. In reaction to the controversy, the sessions court ordered the remand of the teenager's father, a real estate developer, into police custody, reported PTI.
According to the report, while the police said that the juvenile justice board revoked the minor's bond, in the Pune car crash, on Wednesday evening, the teenager's lawyer explained that the bail was not terminated but rather adjusted. The decision on the police's request to classify him as an adult accused is pending.
