Rear Admiral Vivek Dahiya, NM, has officially taken charge as the Commander of the Indian Navy’s Western Fleet. He assumed command from Rear Admiral Rahul Vilas Gokhale, YSM, NM, during a ceremonial parade held in Mumbai, an official statement said on Sunday.

Rear Admiral Dahiya was commissioned into the Indian Navy on July 1, 1993.
