PM Manmohan Singh yesterday announced a Rs 1,000-crore relief package for rehabilitating flood-hit areas in Andhra Pradesh.

"Money will not be a constraint to provide rescue, relief and rehabilitation," said Singh.

The floods have caused a total loss of Rs 12,266 crore, while the state demanded Rs 6,000 crore for relief operations.
