Former Maharashtra Chief Minister and Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and said that the Hindutva organisation did not participate in the freedom struggle and they are now "trying to snatch Independence (of the country)".
Dismissing criticism over Shiv Sena (UBT)`s alliance with Congress, Thackeray said, "They say we became `Congresswasi`. We didn`t become `Bhajapawasi` even after spending 30 years with the BJP. Then how can we become `Congresswasi`?"
