For the first time ever a task force has been set up to control crowds at a car launch, as cops expect 'excitement and large numbers'. Similar situation expected when booking begins

Expect unprecedented security, both from the police and private guards, on March 23. That's the day when Tata Motor's Nano, the world's cheapest car, will be officially launched in Mumbai. This is the only car in India, ever, to have been assigned a task force to control crowds.

The Nano will be unveiled at the Parsi Gymkhana at Marine Drive at 7 pm, and since entry is by invitation only, sources say gatecrashers may lead to near riots, explaining the need for security.
