Amid tensions with the INDIA bloc--the Opposition coalition, Shiv Sena (UBT) stated on Monday that the alliance's primary objective is to remove a 'dictatorial regime' at the Centre while acknowledging the nuances of state politics, stated a report.

In an editorial featured in the Sena (UBT) mouthpiece 'Saamana', the party said that the upcoming assembly polls in five states this month will serve as a "dress rehearsal" for the crucial Lok Sabha polls next year. The editorial, according to the report stated, the Congress' success in these state elections is important as it plays a significant role in all five poll-bound states, namely Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, and Mizoram.
