Three major projects that will bring relief to thousands of motorists will see the light of day in 2026, not least of which is the much-awaited missing link project on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, bypassing the treacherous ghat section, which is expected to be opened by next May or June.

To ease traffic congestion and improve east-west connectivity between Andheri and Jogeshwari, the BMC had proposed a 5.08-km flyover linking New Link Road near Infiniti Mall in Andheri West with Poonam Nagar on the Jogeshwari-Vikhroli Link Road in Jogeshwari East.
