A major fire broke out in a powerloom factory in Maharashtra's Thane district in the early hours of Monday, a fire brigade official told news agency PTI.

No one was injured in the blaze, the fire official from Bhiwandi Nizampur Municipal Corporation told PTI, adding the stock of raw material, finished goods and the machinery were completely destroyed.
The blaze erupted at around 3.15 am in the powerloom unit located in Khoni village on the outskirts of Bhiwandi town, he said.
Two fire engines were rushed to the spot. Local disaster cell representatives also reached the spot.
The blaze was brought under control at around 8.30 am, the official told PTI.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, he added.
Last week, A fire broke out inside an industrial estate in suburban Ghatkopar (West) on late Thursday evening, an official told PTI.
It was doused after nearly two hours and there were no reports of casualties, the fire brigade official told PTI.
The fire broke out at a three-storey building at Kurla Industrial Estate on LBS Marg around 8.15 pm and five fire engines, six water jetties and other fire brigade vehicles along with ambulances were at the spot, the official told PTI.
The flames were confined to electrical wiring, decoration material and wooden articles, he said, adding that its cause was not known yet.
Meanwhile, a 65-year-old man was killed after a fire broke out at a residential building in suburban Santacruz (West) on Tuesday afternoon, an official told PTI.
The fire broke out on the sixth floor of the seven-story building situated on Tagore Road around 3.45 pm.
A man and a woman were rescued by fire brigade personnel donning special Breathing Apparatus suits from the sixth floor through the staircase, the official told PTI.
The man, who was 65 years old, was declared dead on arrival at the hospital, he said.
The woman was treated on site by 108 ambulance service doctors and discharged, the official told PTI.
The blaze was brought under control but the cause was yet to be ascertained, he added.
