A tragic incident unfolded in the wee hours of Friday as a 26-year-old woman with her one-year-old son lost their lives by jumping from a high-rise building in Thane city. The deceased’s, identified as Priyanka Mohite, grave step stemmed from a heated quarrel between her and her husband over a family matter, local authorities were quoted as saying in a PTI report.

The family, consisting of Priyanka, her husband, and their toddler son, was residing in a residential complex situated on Ghodbunder Road, Thane. The incident unfolded on Raksha Bandhan, a festival celebrated on August 30, when Priyanka expressed her desire to visit her sister`s home. However, her husband, for reasons unknown, advised against travelling with their child, igniting a heated argument between the couple.
