Bombay HC's liquidator asks CBFC not to allow release of film The Accidental Prime Minister which is an adaptation of the book on former PM Manmohan Singh as producer hasn't repaid debts

The film starring Anupam Kher as Dr Manmohan Singh (left) was to release on December 21
The much-awaited Anupam Kher-starrer The Accidental Prime Minister may not see the light of day after the official liquidator of the Bombay High Court directed the Censor Board not to release the film as the production house, Bohra Bros Production Pvt Ltd, is under liquidation.
The film, based on Sanjaya Baru's book 'The Accidental Prime Minister: The Making and Unmaking of Manmohan Singh' was to be released on December 21 this year. The HC action is a result of non-compliance of its order on a complaint by Jain Entertainment Network Pvt Ltd, an Andheri-based firm that moved a petition to wind up operations of Bohra Bros Production Pvt Ltd on grounds that the company was unable to pay off its debts.
