On Tuesday, as the IMD issued a red alert for Mumbai, the city and neighbouring Thane witnessed heavy rains that brought widespread chaos, leading to traffic snarls, waterlogged roads, and severe disruptions.

In Thane West, severe waterlogging was reported near the Tehsildar Office and the Anti-Corruption Office at Court Naka around 9:44 am. The incident, reported to the Disaster Management Cell by the Jawharbig Fire Station, did not cause any injuries.

Another case of waterlogging was reported near Wavikar Hospital at Sainath Nagar, Majiwada, around 9:25 am by local representative Mr D’Souza. Officials said complaints have been forwarded to the concerned departments for prompt action. Water accumulation was also confirmed in the Vrindavan area.
