Clearing of trees, construction work and environmentally destructive activities are taking place inside the eco-sensitive zone (ESZ) at the Sanjay Gandhi National Park, alleged a city-based green activist. He said that a huge area of more than 10 acres have been cleared at Royal Palms Complex to make way for a huge shed.
Stalin D, director of NGO Vanashakti, has written a letter to the municipal commissioner, chief conservator of forest (CCF)-SGNP, state environment secretary, Mumbai Suburban collector and Maharashtra Pollution Control Bureau (MPCB) regional officer in the matter.
