However, the area continued to be covered in a blanket of smoke, as a lot of rubber from the shoe shops had burned out. <br /><br />The fire was caused due to a short circuit inside the Bata showroom. <br /><br />The manager said, "Goods worth Rs 2 crore have been destroyed. We had just bought new stock." It took six fire engines and three water tankers to douse the fire. </p>
