Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Saturday visited the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL) project site for inspection of the work. Environment Minister Aaditya Thackeray, Metropolitan Commissioner R A Rajeev, and senior MMRDA officials were also present during the visit. A detailed presentation about the progress of the work was shown.

According to MMRDA, the work on this iconic bridge is close to 30 percent complete. The 22-km MTHL project, out of which 15.5 km will run over the sea, will be connecting Sewri with Nhava Sheva and will be a six-lane bridge across the Mumbai Harbour. This bridge will ease the traffic congestion in the island city and provide better connectivity between Mumbai and Navi Mumbai.
