Shiv Sena (UBT) president Uddhav Thackeray will visit Maharashtra's Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district on Monday and interact with the local residents and his party workers, a Shiv Sena (UBT) leader said, reported news agency PTI.

During the one-day tour, former state chief minister Uddhav Thackeray will visit the rural constituencies of Gangapur, Vaijapur and Kannad, reported PTI.
In the evening, Thackeray will address the people at the TV Centre Ground in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar city, the leader said, reported PTI.

Notably, Vaijapur MLA Ramesh Bornare and legislators Sanjay Shirsat and Pradip Jaiswal from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar city had earlier joined the Shiv Sena led by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, reported PTI.
In the 2019 state assembly polls, the Shiv Sena (then undivided) and its then ally BJP contested nine assembly seats in the district, reported PTI.
The Shiv Sena then won six seats, while the BJP bagged three seats.

Meanwhile, Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday said the Narendra Modi government has conferred Bharat Ratna on former Bihar chief minister Karpoori Thakur to get votes from the eastern state in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
Addressing a gathering of Shiv Sena workers in Mumbai, Thackeray claimed the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, which was the forerunner of the Bharatiya Janata Party, had opposed Thakur's decision to give 26 per cent reservation to backward classes in government jobs, reported PTI.
"But now the BJP wants votes in the Lok Sabha polls from Bihar so announced the Bharat Ratna for him posthumously. I am happy his (Thakur's) work is being acknowledged after so many years," Thackeray said, reported PTI.
The BJP announced Dr S Swaminathan's name for the Bharat Ratna but has failed to implement the recommendation made by a commission headed by him on increasing farm income, Thackeray further said, reported PTI.
People can see through this hollowness, Thackeray claimed, reported PTI.
The Union government announced five names for the Bharat Ratna, the country's highest civilian award, this year.
They are former prime ministers P V Narasimha Rao and Chaudhary Charan Singh, agriculture scientist and father of India's food revolution Dr S Swaminathan, Karpoori Thakur, a champion of backward empowerment, and BJP stalwart L K Advani.
