Mansukh Hiran’s brother Vinod claims cop kept finding faults in the vehicle; claims he plotted crime

The explosive-laden Scorpio, which was found outside Mukesh Ambani’s Antilia home, was sold by deceased Mansukh Hiran to the arrested encounter specialist Sachin Waze in November last year. However, 13 days before the vehicle was found at Antilia, Waze had returned it to Hiran, claiming that it was not running properly, Hiran’s brother Vinod revealed.
Speaking with mid-day, Vinod said, “My brother knew Waze as a customer only. He would regularly visit the shop to purchase materials. In November, Mansukh sold his Scorpio to Sachin Waze. However, after a month, Waze started complaining about faults in the vehicle. It was all planned, because he returned it in February.” He added that the family was happy with how the investigation was heading. “My brother was a good man. He helped many people and did his business professionally. We want to know why he was killed.” On Saturday, former member of Lok Sabha Kirit Somaiya met Hiran’s family at Vikas Palm Society in Thane, and assured they would receive justice.
