The India Meteorological Department (IMD) Tuesday issued a nowcast warning across several districts in Maharashtra. IMD’s Mumbai division said that a thunderstorm, accompanied by lightning and light to moderate spells of rain, was imminent. Gusts of wind reaching speeds of 30-40 kilometers per hour were also anticipated.
The affected areas include the districts of Ahmednagar, Aurangabad, Satara, Nanded, and Latur. While the forecast specifically mentioned isolated places in these regions, the IMD urged all residents to exercise caution when venturing outdoors over the next 3-4 hours.
