Major block on WR to disrupt local train services on January 24-26

Western Railway has announced major blocks on the nights of 24th25th January 2025 FridaySaturday and 25th26th January 2025 SaturdaySunday for the rebuilding of the southern abutment of Bridge No 20 located between Mahim and Bandra stations The blocks will necessitate significant alterations to train schedules on these datesThe blocks will be as follows24th25th January 2025 From 2300 hrs to 0830 hrs on UP amp Down Slow lines and 0030 hrs to 0630 hrs on the Down Fast line25th26th January 2025 From 2300 hrs to 0830 hrs on UP amp Down Slow and Down Fast lines and from 2300 hrs to 0730 hrs on the Slow services departing Churchgate after 2300 hrs on Friday will operate on the Fast line between Mumbai Central and Santacruz bypassing stops at Mahalaxmi Lower Parel Prabhadevi Matunga Road Mahim and Khar RoadSimilarly after 2300 hrs Slow services departing from Virar Bhayandar and Borivali will operate on the Fast line between Santacruz and Mumbai Central skipping the same intermediate stationsServices between Churchgate and Dadar will run on Fast lines during the block periodSelect services between Goregaon and Bandra on Western amp Central Railways will operate on Harbour linesOn the morning of 25th January Slow and Fast services originating from Virar Nallasopara Vasai Road Bhayandar and Borivali will run only up to AndheriThe first Fast train service for Churchgate after the block will depart Virar at 0547 hrs reaching Churchgate at 0705 hrsThe first Down Fast line service postblock will depart from Churchgate at 0614 hrsThe first Down Slow line service postblock will leave Churchgate at 0803 hrsOn FridaySaturday approximately 127 suburban services will be cancelled and 60 services will be partially cancelledImpact on Suburban Services ndash 25th26th January 2025 SaturdaySundayDuring the block services between Churchgate and Dadar will operate on Fast linesBoth Slow and Fast services originating from Virar Nallasopara Vasai Road Bhayandar and Borivali will terminate at Andheri during the block periodSelect services between Goregaon and Bandra on Western amp Central Railways will be diverted to Harbour linesThe last local train on the UP Fast line will be the VirarChurchgate service departing Virar at 2207 hrs while the last service on the UP Slow line will be the BorivaliChurchgate train departing Borivali at 2222 hrsThe last local train on the Down Fast line will be the ChurchgateBorivali service leaving Churchgate at 2233 hrs while the last Down Slow line train will be the ChurchgateBhayandar service departing Churchgate at 2226 hrsThese
