Ajit Pawar reiterated the party`s stance on advocating for a caste-based census and said that their party believes in the "right to live as a human irrespective of caste, creed and religion". He said NCP believes in equality and unity.

The NCP manifesto for Lok Sabha Elections 2024 also calls for conferring the Bharat Ratna, India`s highest civilian award, upon the late former Maharashtra Chief Minister and Defence Minister Yashvantrao Chavan, recognising his contributions to the nation.
