PWD Minister Ravindra Chavan visited the Mumbai Goa highway stretch between Panvel and Ratnagiri in order to inspect the ongoing construction work
Earlier this year, Union minister Nitin Gadkari had stated that the much-delayed Mumbai-Goa national highway work will be completed by December 2023 and it will hugely boost development prospects of the Konkan region
"The Mumbai-Goa highway touches 66 tourism spots in Maharashtra's Konkan. It will also ensure quick transportation of fruits and other produce the region is famous for," Nitin Gadkari had earlier stated
