<p>The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heatwave alert for Maharashtra`s Thane, Raigad districts, and parts of Mumbai from April 27 to 29.&nbsp;</p>

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heatwave alert for Maharashtra`s Thane, Raigad districts, and parts of Mumbai from April 27 to 29. 

<p>According to IMD scientist Sushma Nair, an anti-cyclonic circulation over these areas will contribute to the temperature surge, with peaks expected on April 27 and 28. This marks the second heatwave alert for Mumbai this month.</p>

<p>The IMD advises people to take precautions, including avoiding prolonged exposure to heat, staying hydrated, wearing light-coloured and loose clothing, and scheduling strenuous activities during cooler times of the day.</p>
