Mumbai witnessed thundershowers on Wednesday evening, bringing much-needed respite from the intense May heat. On Tuesday night, too, the city had received moderate rainfall, resulting in a slight dip in the mercury levels (PICS/SATEJ SHINDE, SAYYED SAMEER ABEDI and SHADAB KHAN)

<p>In a nowcast warning issued on Wednesday evening, IMD said, "Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and moderate spells of rain with gusty winds reaching 50-60 kmph very likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Palghar, Mumbai, Thane during next 3-4 hours. PIC/SATEJ SHINDE</p>
