The sale of #wine will be allowed in supermarkets and grocery stores in #Maharashtra, the state cabinet decided on January 27. The decision was taken to give a boost to fruit-based wineries which provide additional income to farmers, Minister for Skill Development #NawabMalik told reporters. While the opposition party #BJP has slammed the decision and alleged that the government was promoting liquor, #ShivSena leader #SanjayRaut defended Maharashra government and said that wine is not a liquor and it will help double the farmers` income.
