Wary of vicious canines who chase their bikes, hapless policemen ask for four-wheelers for patrolling
The cops seem to have given up on this one. The night beat policemen at the Chandra Layout are seeking four wheelersu00a0for protection from stray dogs.
The reason is that the roads in Chandra Layout and Arundhati Nagar areas are not even, and it becomes difficult to ride a two-wheeler if a dog is chasing them.
Interestingly, the dogs can recognise the sound made by a walkie-talkie, and chase the policemen on hearing the crackle.
