Yet another case of an incarcerated don making extortion calls from a mobile phone comes to light
Despite repeated crackdowns, inmates across the country continue to use mobile phones inside jails across
the country.
The latest such instance to come to light is that of Venkatesh (40), a cab driver who received an extortion call for Rs 1 lakh on Tuesday from gangster Ravi alias Bombay Ravi (47), who is lodged in Bellary Jail on charges of
murder.
Venkatesh says this is not the first time he has been harassed by Ravi, whose gang operates in the Tyagrajnagar neighbourhood.
