India saw a single-day rise of 40,120 novel Coronavirus infections, taking the total tally 3,21,17,826, while the recovery rate rose to 97.46 per cent, the highest so far, according to the Union health ministry’s data updated on Friday morning.

The death toll climbed to 4,30,254 with 585 new fatalities, including 208 from Maharashtra and 160 from Kerala.
