7,000 chemists to shut shop today to defy FDA action

Medical shops cry foul over the strict rules the drug watchdog has been trying to implement for the past year to ensure quality service; this will be the fourth strike in two years

The Food and Drug Administration’s tough stance vis-a-vis rules binding on chemist shops has led around 7,000 pharmacies across the city to join in a call for a strike today.
