As the Kashmir siege enters 38 days of total lockdown, the Indian government does not seem anywhere near normalising the Kashmir situation as it has repeatedly claimed. On the contrary, news reports trickling out of the state are reporting horrific incidents of torture and death of hundreds of innocent Kashmiris. Several international media outlets, and a handful of Indian web media, are reporting an increasing number of incidents of random arrests, beating, torture and death of Kashmiri youths at the hands of the Indian mulitary.
Islamic preacher Dr Zakir Naik has strongly condemned the Indian government’s actions in Kashmir and has warned against a Palestine-like situation building up in the state. He has called upon the world to do whatever it takes to save Kashmir from the Modi government’s atrocities.
