The 5.05M high tide yesterday was the biggest tourist attraction this side of the planet. Varun Singh reportsOn Thursday, when the high tide mark was 5.01m, thousands of Mumbaikars made a beeline for the waterfronts, found the time to stand beneath the boughs and stare as long as sheep or cows as poet William Henry Davies suggested so many decades ago.
So, yesterday when the tide was 5.05m at 2.35 pm, the highest this monsoon, the number of tide watchers upped to lakhs.
