A committee of inquiry was set up on Saturday to investigate the circumstances that led to the crash of a Pawan Hans helicopter in Arunachal Pradesh even as the chopper company declared interim compensation for relatives of the 17 people killed and those injured. A three-member committee, headed by Air Marshal (retd) PP Rajkumar, and comprising of Air Commodore (retd) Rai Krishan and Wing Commander (retd) Rabinder Singh. <br /><br />DGCA's deputy director (air safety) MJ Singh would be its secretary, and the committee will investigate all aspects of the accident and submit a report within three months, an official spokesperson revealed. Seventeen of the 23 people on board the Mi-172 helicopter of the state-owned Pawan Hans Helicopters Limited were killed in the crash near the helipad in Tawang on Tuesday.
