Traders lose tennis ball cricket match to Commercial Street police on Sunday
The final cricket match played between the Commercial Street Police and Ibrahim Street Shop Owners on Sunday ended on an interesting note.
The Commercial Street Police won the match by one run against the opponents just like India did against South Africa on Sunday itself.
The Tennis ball matches were organised by Ibrahim, the captain of Ibrahim Street Shop Owners to help foster a more cordial relationship between the public and the police. The Commercial Street police who batted first and scored 93/3 in 12 overs emerged as winners in a nail biting finish.
The Ibrahim Shop Owners chased the score but managed to make 92 runs at a loss of 9 wickets in 12 overs.
Ibrahim said, "People fear going to the police even for a good reason. We played the matches to prove the police are not bad. It was nice to play with Inspector S Badarinath, the Captain of Commercial Street Police."
