The ongoing assault on the ears of residents of Vikas Nagar in Wanowrie may end soon. Taking serious note of a report published in MiD DAY on July 4 (‘Locals cry foul at noisyu00a0banquet hall in SRPF headquarters’), the commandant of SRPF, Sanjay Jadhav, recently met the inhabitants and assured them that fresh rules would be framed to tackle the issueand ensure that they are not inconvenienced by the frequent functions taking place at Aalankaran hall and the adjoining lawn. The residents, however, maintain that they would wait and see whether these commitments are fulfilled, and if theyaren’t, they would organise an agitation against the menace.
