An amritsari food festival is recreating the magic of the place and the cuisine
Apart from the Golden Temple, when we think about Amritsar, we recall the food which comes from the narrow streets and creates a nostalgic culinary journey for many of us. It's the same magic that you can discover at the Amritsari Food Festival, Oye Amritsar, which is currently on at Pirates of Grill.
The interiors have been decked up to remind one of Punjab

Grilling Season
The restaurant brought in a whiff of Amritsaru00a0-- with garma garam grills, lassi and folk dances. Our voyage started with badam kesar, Gulabi Amritsar and unlimited grills from the live grill counter bang in the table.
A selection of non-vegetarian and vegetarian starters filled pretty much of the tummy. Nevertheless, we managed sizzling Amritsari macchi, Amritsar diyan champa and crisp karara murg tikka. In the vegetarian section, we relished stuffed mushrooms, Amritsari paneer tikka, bhatti de aloo which were bliss but the tawa soya champ served with kulcha was a bit hard.
Spread out
For the main course, Amritsari chholey kulche and sarson ka saag with makki ki roti are must-haves. We also tried baingan ka bharta, paneer kali mirch, badiyan aloo mattar, dal fry Amritsari and kadi pakora. The meat in the keema was quite fresh and tari wala murg and butter chicken were masaledaar. The imli aur aam papad ki chutney was something all chatpata lovers will die for.
Team them with either meat pulao, badiyan wale chawal or choose from breads like Amritsari kulcha and lachche wala parantha.
For desserts, opt from phirni, gur ka halwa, malpua, imarti or ice cream. To complete the experience, the d ufffdcor is done up with kites, straws, sugarcanes and loud Punjabi music.
