Mayor Mohansingh Rajpal's report card after a year in office has a lot of red marks

Au00a0year has passed since Mayor Mohansingh Rajpal took an oath to fulfil his duty as the first citizen of the city and to work towards its betterment. MiD DAY takes a look at his work and performance so far, and comes away quite disappointed.



From controversial donations and allegations of corruption to unsanctioned and irresponsible use of public money and even accusations of illegally chopping trees for his timber house, the Mayor has courted controversy from the very beginning of his term.

He did, though, get a few brownie points for positive developments like stopping open garbage dumping in Devachi Urali and Phursungi.
