In a first-of-its-kind initiative, the jail administration has organised a talent hunt where inmates will be selected for singing, lyrics and music before being trained and groomed to sing for an album; auditions will kick-start in a week
Confined within the high walls of Tihar Jail, inmates of the largest prison complex in South Asia, will soon have a chance to sing or compose music in a album, ‘Tihar Idol’, a talent hunt organised within the jail premises for the inmates.

Fun factor: Tihar Jail, which houses about 11,000 prisoners, has a rock band “Flying Souls”. It also has many extra-curricular activities like yoga, sports and computer education to engage prisoners. File pic
